Kinesiology is a holistic therapy based on the balancing and enhancing of the natural vital energy flow of the body (known as Chi or Qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine). Like Acupuncture this therapy is based on the meridians and looks at the flow of energy through these channels. Each meridian is associated with a major organ or function of the body and has a specific muscle or group of muscles associated wit
This technique is a gentle, non invasive therapy, conducted whilst fully clothed by a practitioner who will exercise a muscle testing technique (mainly on the arms and legs). Corrections involve techniques such as massage of lymphatic, neurovascular or acupressure points and working with meridians. This type of therapy can be used to address many complaints and ailments of modern living and there are many benefits that can be achieved on a physical, emotional and psychological level. Due to the gentle nature of this therapy it is also useful as an adjunct to any other form of therapy and is often supported by advice on nutritional and vitamin/mineral supplements. Kinesiology can be performed at all ages and a surrogate can also be used where it is not possible or appropriate to test the individual.
In Kinesiology we can view the body as a bio-computer which can look at both conscious and subconscious reactions and responses, allowing us to interpret what is appropriate at that time.
